About

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, my family moved within the first two months of my life to a small town in New Brunswick, St. Stephen. I grew up with an emphasis on being involved in a little bit of everything from sports, drama and scholastic activities.

For university, I wanted to go just far enough away from home to meet some different people with different backgrounds, but not so far that I couldn’t have a close connection to my family. Halifax and specifically Dalhousie was the perfect spot for this. Originally I had planned on taking even more of a performance focus with my degree, but after going through some different writing courses, I decided to focus the Theatre side of my degree on writing and researching the arts. Coupled with my focus on English, I feel like my degree has allowed me to become a strong communicator, but not feel constrained to what might be considered “the norm”.

I’ve had the opportunity to travel to some interesting places through my professional career including Boston and San Francisco, but also have completed a full drive across the Canadian provinces starting in Tofino on Vancouver Island and traveling all the way back to the East Coast.

My favorite past times include writing musing about the world and novels that are usually just for me, reading anything that has a different stye or point of view to it and just enjoying everything life brings.
